ngm Academy of Performing Arts offers one year courses in the performing arts for 17-26 year olds. Alongside excellent arts training, you also take part in our dynamic christian discipleship programme. If you're looking for a gap year to spend doing what you love whilst going deeper in your faith, then look no further!
NGM Academy has been a gateway for many of the people who have come through our courses. From a musician who was in the band that opened the Brits and has gone on to have a number one hit, a singer/dancer who took a lead role in 'Fame', a dancer who is touring with 'Thriller', a manager who is now working with Snow Patrol and Shirley Bassey, DJs and producers releasing tracks being played regularly on Radio 1, a singer who has gone on to the Royal Academy of Music, and communicators who speak regularly at national events.
"When I was a teenager I always dreamed about being in music. I always wanted to be involved in the studio, being around bands and creating music. The Caedmon Complex – with its magnificent studios – is the kind of place I always wanted to end up in as a teenager. They’ve got great teachers and it’s just a place of growth and of learning. I’ve gone on to have my music in TV, films and video games, and a lot of that is down to my training in NGM. So I really recommend it; it’s a fabulous place!”
Andy Hunter, DJNGM Academy has a terrific track record in seeing artists released to help shape our culture. We also have people who are working in the industry in other capacities and others who are part of NGM and either work as part of our support team or are involved in our musicals, dance crew, band or other creative areas. Others find the academy helps them to discover another pathway other than live performing arts, and go on to university, a career or in another sphere of mission.
