Esther Howgill

Esther is a born-again Christian, raised in a Christian family and currently serves in her home church in Maidstone as the Youth Leader.

She is married to Matt and they have two girls, Melody and Amelia.

Esther first came to NGM in 2009, where she completed our 2-year training course. During this time, she was a lead singer and toured with Songs from the Shows, recorded several tracks including ‘Special One’ & ‘Come Home’ and demos for Susan Boyle. She toured with Nancy, singing ministry songs and assisting in any needs while away.

Since moving away, Esther has been performing professionally and teaching for over 11 years. She has taught musical theatre workshops throughout Kent, and currently teaches singing at Valley Park School, while also running several musical theatre clubs in the Maidstone area. She is also currently at university studying for a degree in Drama, to then pursue her dream of becoming a secondary school Drama teacher, inspiring others to pursue their dreams like her own teachers have throughout her life.

While studying and teaching, Esther is the Director/Producer for the Maidstone Amateur Operatic Society’s annual concert. On top of that, her biggest passion is performing alongside her husband in their band, Northwood, a name that is taken from the place they met while she was in NGM in 2010. You can find out more about Northwood by visiting their Facebook page.

Esther is delighted to be back working with NGM on the Spiritual Health Days and weekends.
